Dear users,
new titles have been added to the audio library - see the list below.
Vivaldi's Concerto in F major RV 442 belongs to less technically demanding compositions. It is a great introduction to the world of the Baroque concerto and the piece offers a number of possibilities for working with dynamics, articulation and expression. You can listen the difference by the performance of players such as Stefan Temmingh or Maurice Steger.
Another notable composition is Gordon Jacob's Sonatina. The first movement tests the technical skills of the player and offers beautiful lyrical passages with a perfect melody. Listen to the Michala Petri's performance.
Sonatina appears twice more in our list: by W. Leigh - the 2nd movement, Larghetto, complements the previously added first movement. You can listen to the beautiful mood in the performance by Hidehiro. Another sonatina is by Peter Pope - the second movement (Molto lento), offers not only space for expressiveness and dynamics, but also harmony, which we do not often meet in recorder music.
Finale from Divertimento by J. Graves is an energetic whirlwind with distinct rhythms - again suitable for more advanced pupils. For beginners is the piece Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, well known by the Monty Pythons.
Have a nice time with your pupils...and with our site!
