Paolo Benedetto Bellinzani (1682 - 1757) - Italian composer of the High Baroque, about whose life not much is known. Born in Mantua or Ferrara, he dedicated himself to the priestly ministry and was a highly respected composer of oratorios, masses and madrigals. He served as the head of church music in the cathedrals of Udine and Urbino. He was also the author of a number of instrumental works, incl. trio sonatas, in which he consistently follows in the footsteps of A. Corelli. He published sonatas for recorder and basso continuo by A. Bortoli (publisher of, among others, Vivaldi) in 1720.
